How much does a banner design cost?

All banners are quoted at a standard hourly design rate, with a 3-hour minimum. Here is a price list of our most standard banner designs. (All prices listed are minimum rates):

  • Standard animated or non-animated (GIF format): $225
  • Banners with image map(s): $275
  • CGI/Javascript banner (e.g., working menus, buttons, or other form objects): $275
  • Flash banner: $300
  • Stock photography images: $35-$75

All banners are quoted individually. Rush jobs for banners are handled at an additional 50-100% fee. See our pricing plan.

What is your payment plan for banner designs?

For first-time clients and for jobs with a quote of under $500, payment in full is required. For projects with a quote over $300, payment of 50% is required along with a signed agrrement for beginning work, with the remaining 50% is due upon completion of the project.

For projects over $5,000, an initial payment representing one-third of the estimated total fee is required along with a signed agreement. The second one-third is billable upon the halfway point or second phase of the project, with the final third due upon completion of the project. Regular clients are sent monthly invoices notifying payment within 14 days.

What types of banner designs can you do?

eGlobel Internet Solutions provides a wide assortment of banner designs in all file formats within the guidelines of major search engine and directory sites. Some types of banner designs we commonly create include:

  • Animated banners
  • Banners with form objects (e.g., text fields, search fields, buttons, lists, and pull-down menus)
  • Banners with image maps (i.e., multiple areas a visitor can click on to be taken to a different web address.)
  • Flash banners (banners that provided more multimedia options at a smaller file size, provided the visitor has the required Flash™ plug-in)

We also provide banner designs in a wide range of shapes and sizes, especially those allowed in advertisements on major search engines and directories.

When can I see a sample of my banner design?

Banner designs are created within 5 business days of receipt of initial payment. (Banner designs totaling 3 or more will be given an extended estimated time frame.) Your banner design is delivered either via email or download on our web site. Standard animated banners are sent to your email address, while more complex banners are shown on our web site for your review.

What formats are my banner designs delivered in?

Your banner design is delivered either via email or download on our web site. If you have a standard GIF banner created, you only need to save the graphic file to your computer and you are set to use it anywhere you like.

For more complex banners, such as banners with form objects, image maps, scripting, or Flash, you need to also save the entire HTML file that comes with the banner and have it placed in either the same folder on your computer as where the graphic file is placed, or at least have it pointing to.

eGlobel Internet Solutions also provides the service of submitting banners directly to your chosen web site address or vendor, so you do not have to worry about making code adjustments to the original files so the banner shows up correctly.

How many changes can I make to the banner?

You are entitled to make changes that keep the labor within the agreed time frame. Should the amount and scope of the requested changes go beyond the initial estimated time, additional time will be billed per hour and will be added with the client's approval. If it's something that only takes a few minutes we won't bill you.

What tips can you give me for designing a banner?

We provide a list of banner design tips on our site that are updated monthly. Below are some general guidelines when designing a banner:

  • Browse the web and research banner styles and designs, both within and outside of your own industry or profession. Save banner design samples and either show them to us, or point us to the web address to help us getting a good visual idea of what appeals to you.
  • Sketch out a storyboard of what you want your banner to show, from beginning to end
  • Choose colours that carry a positive connotation for your line of work. (For instance, green is a good colour for a financial site; red would be a bad one.)
  • Think of something that would naturally interest your audience and easily catch their attention.
  • Unless you're a major company that most people know of or have an incredible advertising budget to get your name out everywhere, don't make your banner look like an advertisement. Make it look informative and practical.
  • Determine where you banner is to be featured. You will want the banner to look like it is a part of the web site site it is featured on and blend well.
  • Don't overdo it! You want it to be eye-catching, not an eyesore. The more stuff you try to add, the longer the download time and the less likely visitors will click your banner to your site.
